    We met at Incredible Pizza today.  The Bean Cup is closing.

    Brent Corey (Sizemore Insurance) called Mark Evans at Evan’s Audio about the stage and sound system for Greenwood-A-Glow at the tree lighting.  That will cost OTGA about $500.

    Rebecca Davis with Greenwood High School Choir-they will be singing at stage and following Santa to the library.

    Harold Crook (Humane Society of Johnson County) said Greenwood Presbyterian Church choir will be singing-at library probably.  Violins4U is confirmed for performing in the library.

   Southside Art League will be open in the Innovative Financial building.  They will be doing hot chocolate.

    OTGA will be borrowing a couple of tables from the library for use at the tree lighting. Dr. E. Kapke (Greenwood Animal Clinic) can move the tables in his truck, he’ll also be bringing Santa’s chair for the pictures, borrowed from Kittles.

    Jane Weisenbach (Greenwood Public Library) has talked to Dunkin Doughnuts-they may sell hot chocolate, donut holes at the library- the current library restaurant is closing.  

    Rosemary Cunningham (The Flower Market) confirmed with the carriages to start at 5.  Mayor Henderson is confirmed to be at the tree lighting.

    Christina Alfery (National City Bank) will be selling carriage ride tickets at the tree lighting. Dr. A. Kapke (Greenwood Animal Clinic) will be selling carriage tickets in the library lobby, but will need some help, because Willow Kapke will be dancing.

    Tracy Stott (Greenwood Animal Clinic) and her husband Jake will be helping with carriage rides along with Dr. Eric.

    Rosemary working with Daily Journal on ad.  In Holiday Guide and in the Go section $285 via negotiation w/ Rosemary. Will be using last year’s picture b/c of early ad deadline.  OTGA is to give $100 to Friends of the Library toward fireplace purchase. 

    Rosemary said Protek Photography would like a sample of digital picture print out, so they can order cardboard frames to fit. Jane said the pictures will be 4 x 6 inches.  Proteck contact is Vicki or Dennis Fisher.

    Greenwood Public Library is doing 3-D snowflake for craft. OTGA will pay for $150-$200 for materials.

    The plan for pictures with Santa is to put about 5 pictures on a memory card, switch out cards, take one card to the printer, then take pictures to circulation desk for people to pick up.

    Tandy Shuck to volunteer? Gail Richards (Johnson County Community Foundation) to contact.   Still need some volunteers.

   Discussed when and where to barricade library parking lot to keep it clear for the carriage rides. 

    Rosemary said candy canes are done and Mr. & Mrs. Claus are confirmed.

    Pat Chaney (Corporate Digital) brought the coloring contest entries and A-Glow information forms for the schools.  Volunteers picked them up along with a reminder letter to art teachers and large Kraft envelopes for sorting to drop off at schools between now and Monday.

    Our next meeting will be on 11/16 (which is a Monday) at the Greenwood Public Library at 11:30.  The library will get pizza. We will not be meeting that Wed. 11/18.  On the 16th, we will be judging the coloring contest entries, asking volunteers to drop off winner certificate and book prizes to participating schools, putting up the Gingerbread House at the library (Dr. Eric, bring truck) and working on other library decorations.

    Rosemary will be the sugar plum fairy at the A-Glow.

    Michelle Kuntz (XO Paradise) said the Indy South Business Group has been started.  It is a southside merchants group.   She said they are pooling their resources for newspaper and radio ads to benefit their merchant members and also planning community projects such as food and clothing drives.  They plan to have a website.  Also planning merchant open houses and scavenger hunt 12-4&5.  For more info. email vp@indysouthbusinessgroup.info.
